A theme runs through the teachers who have inspired me, whom have helped shape me and my own teaching approach - they’re all a bit radical! From Melek, my first teacher, giving ourselves a foot massage and a chat as our yoga practice or practicing to the sexy summer tunes of Santana in her small Turkish living room, to Yolande Alice Carrell teaching permission for 'womb' and 'vagina' to have a place in yoga with women, to Gopala and Karla offering liberating yoga practice with postures that could look like any shape as long as the shapes make you feel really good. And Sunder, Tonie and Suraj shaping the teacher in me beyond the teacher (that’s cryptic and that’s why I love their teaching!).
Based in Turkey and Los Angeles, Melek motivates people to lead healthy lifestyles and practice Yoga as a part of their daily routine.

“It was an amazing experience to do yoga with Rachael. She guides with soft and powerful energy. I felt held by her energy and my breath and body could dance together - my kundalini rising gently. After yoga with Rachael, I felt as if I had created my own heaven ”
- Senem Yurttakalan
“Rachael's class was very effective at connecting with the body and flowing in kundalini energy. It helped me particularly with the recalibration of my nervous system. Her gentle attention and caring energy made the experience very comfortable and physically safe.”
